Jazzy J's Magic Show FAQs
How can I work out how long I need to book you?
To give you a guide – We create approximately 10-12 Balloon Designs an hour or approx. 20 one balloon designs an hour. It depends upon the amount of children present. If there aren’t many children well, we can do some awesome designs.
If your event has over 50 guests attending I suggest you book 2 balloon artists or more.
Back to IndexCan I give a balloon scuplture to a child under 3?
Due to the potential choking hazard, we are not able to make and give out balloons for children under the age of 3. If a balloon scuplture is required for an under 3, we will instead make it for an adult guardian who can hold it for the child’s benefit. It is very important that a child is supervised to make sure that child does not put the balloon in their mouth.

To give you a guide – I can paint approximately 10-12 Full Face Painting Designs or 15-17 Small Face Painting Designs depending upon the complexity of the design chosen

What kind of paints do you use?
First of all it will help to understand that the paints themselves are not actually paints but more like make up. I use a combination of professional make-up from international suppliers. These would include Global, TAG and Snazaroo – all of these make-ups are considered by many face painters to be of the highest quality available. The make-up contains non-toxic & hypo-allergenic properties and are FDA (USA) approved. Snazaroo paints also carry a “child toy safety rating” and is one of the world’s safest face painting products.
Paints don’t chip or peel and will wash off easily with mild soap and warm water at the end of the day, or you can use a face cloth or wet wipes, but the paint should be removed before bed that day.
Some colours will stain more than others so you may need to repeat cleaning depending on how long you have been wearing the face paint and what the colour is – this is normal and will fade within a day or two.
Do you supply all your own equipment?
Yes! I supply my own equipment, table chairs, water etc. You just need to have an area available for me to paint. If the event is outdoors or for 4 hours or longer I can supply a 3X3 marquee (Small $20.00 charge). For the comfort of your guests a shaded and sheltered area is preferred.
It would be wonderful if you can ensure I have a close place to park to where your event is held, to make my arrival and exit easier with the equipment I bring.
Will the paints stain my clothing or bed sheets and pillow cases?
They may temporarily but should come off in a cold water wash. Do not use warm or hot water. To avoid staining bed sheets the face paint should be removed before bed.
Back to IndexWhat ages and restrictions are there in painting?
Please read the Health and Safety Policy, but generally persons that can not be painted are to include: Anyone under 2 years (though I will offer a stamp on the arm or hand). If the person can not tell me they want to be painted or they appear frightened or upset then I will not paint them. It is lovely to see the little ones painted, but I am unable to paint them if they are crying or can not sit still or follow instructions. I would much prefer that they have a happy memory of painting than be scared. I do not paint anyone who is obviously unwell, showing signs of a fever, rashes, open sores or wounds. I also do not paint people with sore eyes.
Back to IndexWhat do we do if we have allergies?
If you think you or the person that is to be painted has sensitive skin please or has allergies please ask for a patch test. (I apply a small amount of paint to the inside of the elbow and if after 20mins there is no reaction then I will be happy to paint them).

Do you charge extra for travel?
For bookings located within my local area (up to 20kms) I do not charge anything extra. For distances outside my local area there are additional costs to help pay for petrol expenses and to compensate for time. These fees are minimal.
Back to IndexHow do I book you?
This is the easy bit!
Just give me a phone call on 0414 104 969 or email me Jazzyartentertainment@hotmail.com or use the Booking Enquiry Form.
I will need your name, address of event, contact number for the day, time and date of event.
After confirmation, I will email you an invoice/booking confirmation, which includes all the details of your booking. I will phone you a few days before the booking to touch base and then again on the day of the booking if needed.
How many children can I invite?
There is no limit. Jazzy J says the more the merrier. My self- contained, battery operated PA system means EVERYONE can hear the magic show. The only time it may be limited is if you include either face painting or balloon twisting to your magic show as I can only paint or twist around 15 designs in the 2nd hour.
Back to IndexInside or outside?
Inside is better but outside is OK. Just remember I need shade too. If it’s too hot for the kids it will be too hot for me. Wind is no one’s friend at a party.
Back to IndexHow big and area to you need?
An average sitting room is fine. Just allow two big paces from the wall for Jazzy J to do her stuff. If you are having the show on a patio, I can supply a 3m x 3m floor mat for the chidlren to sit on at no extra charge.
Back to IndexWhen should I start the show?
Half an hour after the party starts. This allows for any latecomers, so that they don’t miss any of the show.
Back to IndexWhat if there is more than one birthday child?
That’s easy, it’s double the fun. I have done many parties where the parents want to combine 2 children that are sharing the same-age birthday.
Back to IndexMy child is shy. Will they be overwhelmed?
Not at all. I am very good at reading children and tread lightly. I’m not the loudest of children’s entertainers because I don’t feel the need for it.
Back to IndexCan I serve food during the show?
It’s your party, you can do what you like BUT it’s so much better if you don’t. The kids have a better experience, plus you and your guests too can enjoy the show!
Back to IndexDo you need me to provide anything?
Only one thing …… a group of excited children who just want a lively and exciting Magic Show!
